Each February, engineers, technicians, manufacturers and contractors from across the UK’s refrigeration industry gather to support the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) at its longest running event.
The Grand Annual Dinner is now in its 117th year, an incredible achievement and one that has only been possible thanks to the generosity and support of its members.
We are proud to support this year’s Grand Annual Dinner which takes place on 16th February. It’s a spectacular event which enables friends, contacts, customers and suppliers to celebrate achievement and support the work of the IOR.
The Institute was founded in 1899 as the Cold Storage and Ice Association and was the first national society of mechanical refrigeration in the world. In 1944, qualified membership was introduced in order to raise the status of the association and of those engaged in the science and practice of refrigeration, and the present name of the Institute of Refrigeration was adopted.
