NHS Nightingale – Playing our part

Space Engineering Services is proud to have applied its expertise at the new essential NHS premises.
With the UK striving to control the COVID-19 pandemic, vital new NHS premises are now operational, handling the increased volume of patients requiring essential care.
Due to our proven working relationship, the Engineering Team at Tesco approached Space Engineering Services to provide design expertise, packs and cabinets for the new Tesco Express stores at both the NEC Birmingham and Excel London.
David Foreshew, Key Account Director, responsible for the Tesco relationship, was able to provide some detail on the challenges faced and acknowledged the ‘Can do Attitude’ displayed by everyone involved.
“Both sites provided significant challenges in terms of the short lead time required to become operational, and also the nature of the listed building at the Excel London, and the Marquee style at the NEC. Outstanding teamwork from the design, project management, manufacturing and cabinet teams overcame these challenges.”
“Despite the need for social distancing at the sites, our site teams, along with our sub-contractors, were able to execute the installations and commissioning to the highest level by working on site 24 hours a day.”
“It’s great to receive such positive feedback from the client, but truly humbling to have received thanks from NHS team members for our acknowledgement of their efforts on our refrigeration packs”.
Space Engineering Services remains ready to assist in the fight against COVID-19.
