Road Safety Week is always an annual event which resonates with the team at Space Engineering Services. This year’s topic is especially important.
There’s No Need To Speed
With a significant number of our colleagues on the road every day, the subject of road safety is never far from our minds. During 2020’s Road Safety Week, our Fleet and HSEQ teams will be reinforcing our focus on the subject of speed.
Throughout the week, we will be providing additional information and support, referencing not just national statistics, but turning the focus internally on our performance figures and finding ways in which we can continually improve.
As ever the efforts of Brake, The Roads Safety Charity, will form the core of our focus supporting our standards and guidelines.
As Brake has reminded us all, it’s a simple formula: the higher the speed, the longer the stopping distance, the harder the crash and the greater the risk of death and injury. No Need To Speed is a reminder to everyone of how the speed they travel affects other people.
