January 2021 and Brexit are fast approaching, and with the UK Government continuing to negotiate the final agreement with the European Union, the impact on our country remains unclear.
Despite this uncertainty, Space Engineering Services has been taking proactive steps
to ensure that the market-leading supply of our products and services, along with our overall business performance, remains robust.
Our valued customers, sub-contractors and suppliers, are all integral partners to our business. Below is an update on some of our key actions to date.
As a UK manufacturer, purchasing goods from across the UK and EU, we expect Brexit to cause some delays in importing goods to the UK due to additional customs requirements. We are well prepared to deal with these changes and have already focussed on the following:
a) We have worked with key suppliers to ensure supply continuity of crucial componentry and build forward forecast resilience
b) Additional stock levels are coming in to place within the UK to reduce risk against secured and tendered opportunities
c) We have increased key-account engagement to provide further visibility above and beyond current practices.
d) Reviewed and strengthened current logistics arrangements to provide additional security
Impacts on standards and legislation
We have known for some time, that our standards and certification, relating to both product and business operation, will continue unaffected. We also remain in the best possible position to continue to help you navigate the F gas regulation, keeping your refrigeration systems safe, legally compliant and running efficiently.
Price and service levels
As is the case for all UK based manufacturers, the full scale of the impact of potential additional import duties/tariffs included in the final Brexit agreement is unknown. We continue to monitor this situation and act as proactively as possible to minimise any impacts which may occur.
We are confident that our proactive approach and focus on key-areas will support our customers, sub-contractors and supplier throughout the initial months post-Brexit and beyond. As always, we are ready to discuss any newly occurring needs and would encourage you to get in touch should you have any concerns with which we can assist you.
Hopefully, this summary provides you with the confidence that Space Engineering Services is prepared for the upcoming Brexit related. We remain fully committed to the growth of our key partnerships.
Best Regards,
